[...] Yesterday, The Wall Street Journal printed an Op-Ed about The End of Big Law. In short, the author argues that we’ve seen the end of the big law firm as we know it. It’s a must read for anyone interested in the subject. Any reader of this blog knows that I’ve been predicting this for quite some time as part of my Law Firm 2.0 series. [...]

Jason,

Do not fret, we will pick up and carry the Law 2.0 torch under the guise of LawyerHD.com (coming to an Internet near you in June;)......and hopefully shed some light on the pupils of old law....not in a dear in the headlights kind of way of course;)

As part of our progressive firms much anticipated launch into a web pureplay, we will be also launching what we hope will be the benchmark association for all things legally virtual, or is it virtually legal.....those darn disclaimners....

Please check back in June and hopefully me and my merry band of brothers can have you join as as a (virtual) board member....a lot cooler than that NVCA stuff (congrats again!) as we keep the torch well lit.....

Coming soon: www.VirtualLawyerAssociation.com (or .org, which ever your in the mood for over your morning cup of java:):)

Until then....

Onward and Upward....

Frank

re: "progressive lawyers" I would expect as more firms pare down their staff, we'll see more lawyers willing/able/interested in trying alternative approaches to billing and getting things done. timing may be right for a lot of this.
